Multi-platinum performer Andy Grammer is a gifted pop artist and songwriter with a bent toward contemporary soul and pop. A native of Los Angeles, Grammer is the son of children's music artist Red Grammer, and grew up in New York State. He later returned to California to earn his B.A. in music-industry studies from California State University, Northridge. While attending school, Grammer began performing around Los Angeles and even spent time as a street performer to help publicize himself. Higher-profile gigs followed, and he eventually signed with S-Curve Records.nnGrammer released his debut album Andy Grammer in 2011. That summer, he supported both Natasha Bedingfield and Colbie Caillat on tour. Two years later, he released the EP Crazy Beautiful. In 2015, Grammer returned with his sophomore album, Magazines or Novels, featuring the singles "Back Home" and "Honey, I'm Good," the latter of which reached number nine on the Billboard chart. (It also helped him become the first male pop artist since John Mayer to reach the Top Ten at adult pop radio on his first two singles.) After a 2015 stint as a contestant on Dancing with the Stars, Grammer released another single, "Good to Be Alive (Hallelujah)," which became his second consecutive hit to be certified gold. Released in the summer of 2016, the single "Fresh Eyes" also performed well, reaching over 250 million streams and platinum status. In June 2017, Grammer delivered the single "Give Love" featuring LunchMoney Lewis. The song later appeared on his third studio LP, The Good Parts, which was released in December of that year.
