A Swedish formed and Swedish based hard rock/punk/metal act, Psychopunch formed in the city of Västerås in 1998. Members JM (lead vocals, guitar), Joey (guitar), Mumbles (bass), and Peppe (drums) released their first album, the demo 333 Half as Evil, in 1998. They followed that with 1999's We Are Just As Welcome As Holy Water In Satan's Drink and 2000's half studio/half live platter, Bursting Out of Chucky's Town. With their 2002 release, The Pleasure Kill, Psychopunch earned enough respect to score spots on 2003's Summer Breeze and Wacken Festivals. Album number five, Smashed on Arrival, hit stores via Silverdust Records in 2004, as did 2006's Kamikaze Love Reducer. The band also recorded and released a great many splits with other bands, and in 2008 released the full-length Moonlight City. ~ Chris True
