Based on the ongoings at the stables of the rich De La Fayette family, Flemish children's telenovela Amika branched out onto the pop scene with two musical specials, Amika en Het Magische Zadel and Dagdromen, and the release of two studio albums. Featuring the vocals of Moora Vander Veken (Merel De Ridder) and Niels Destadsbader (Oliver), both 2009's Amika and 2010's Amika en Ik reached the Top 20 of the Flemish charts, as did the singles "Amika" and "Het Is Zomer." ~ Jon O'Brien
