Il Pan del Diavolo (roughly translated: The Pan of the Devil) is a Sicilian folk duo formed by Alessandro Alosi and Gianluca Bartolo in 2006. The band quickly rose in popularity, opening for Gogol Bordello and soon releasing a self-titled EP and touring extensively on their own in support of it. The pair released Sono All'osso in 2009 to critical raves, and their 2012 follow-up, Piombo Polvere e Carbone, broke through the Top 100 charts with a peak position of number 83. ~ Fred Thomas
