Now United is an international pop group founded by Simon Fuller, the creator of the UK series Pop Idol and its many iterations.
• To assemble the group, Fuller dispatched talent scouts on a worldwide mission that took 18 months to complete. • The original 14-member lineup featured performers from Finland, Russia, Senegal, the United States, Brazil, South Korea, the United Kingdom, Japan, Germany, Canada, the Philippines, India, China, and Mexico. • The group debuted in 2017 with “Summer In The City,” an English rendition of Swedish group Angel’s 1992 song “Sommaren i City.” • In July 2020, the group released “The Billion View Mashup,” which is exactly what it sounds like: a mashup of their previous hits celebrating 1 billion video views. • The group has continued to grow, and with the addition of Mélanie Thomas of the Ivory Coast in November 2020, Now United became 17 members strong.
