Siti Badriah has all the makings of a dangdut legend. Having come from a family of dangdut musicians and active in the scene since the early 2010s, she scored a mainstream breakthrough in the decade’s final stretch mainly thanks to the viral pop smash “Lagi Syantik”. The Bekasi-born singer’s bold and dextrous vocals give her growing dangdut repertoire a real edge, allowing her to tackle bona fide roof-raisers like “Melanggar Hukum” and “Senandung Cinta”. And having bagged four Indonesian Music Awards between 2017 and 2019, her star is undoubtedly set firmly in the firmament of Indonesian music.
