São Paolo-born Latin gospel artist Soraya Moraes started her singing career in a band called Metanoya. She went solo sometime after the group released its 1993 album, Guerra. Her debut, Pensado em Deus, was released in 1999, and she went on to release four more solo albums in the early 2000s. Her sixth album, 2004's Deixa o Teu Rio Me Levar, won a Latin Grammy for best Christian album in Portuguese, as well as four Troféu Talento awards. Another album, Tudo é Possivel, was released the next year, followed up by Promessas in 2006. ~ TiVo Staff
