Beachy Texas duo Surfaces make upbeat, feel-good pop influenced by '70s R&B, electronica, and hip-hop. They broke through with their 2017 album Surf, featuring the single "Be Alright."

Based out of College Station, Texas, Surfaces formed in 2017 and feature the talents of singer/songwriter/producers Forrest Frank and Colin Padalecki. Initially, Padalecki began making music in high school with his cousin, singer Alexa Padalecki. He continued working on tracks while attending Texas A&M, where he began posting songs online. His music caught the attention of the Seattle-based Frank, who then invited Padalecki to come record with him at his house boat. In December 2017, they released their debut album, Surf, which included the song "Be Alright." The track gained fans online and helped build buzz for the duo, who eventually found themselves touring in support of the album. In 2019, they returned with their sophomore album, Where the Light Is, which included the song "Sunday Best."
