Taron Egerton is an award-winning English actor and Grammy-nominated singer.
∙ At age 17, he was accepted at London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Art after singing Elton John’s “Your Song” for his performance audition. ∙ Egerton rose to fame with his starring role in the 2014 spy dramedy Kingsman: The Secret Service, for which he won Best Male Newcomer at the UK’s 2015 Empire Awards. ∙ In 2016, he costarred in the hit animated comedy Sing as a teenage gorilla who croons Sam Smith’s “Stay with Me” and Elton John’s “I’m Still Standing.” ∙ The actor did his own vocals—winning a Golden Globe and numerous other awards—when he starred as Elton John in the acclaimed 2019 musical biopic Rocketman. ∙ On the 2019 hit soundtrack Rocketman (Music from the Motion Picture), he performed many Elton John classics and duetted with the pop legend on “(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again.”
