Fractured

Twisting the arms of the voices inside,
reciting the lines of the words that I’d write,
trying to make sense of wrong from the right.
I’m drowning and no one can save me.

Don’t say another word just close your eyes.
don’t say another line of your rehearsed reprise,
push all your selfish values aside,
it’s time to now reflect on your own life.

You’ve come this far,
no one said it was going to be easy.
It’s time to step up,
it’s time to say goodbye.

Breathing deeper,
fate stepping on my fingertips
fuelling tomes of what should not exist,
wave the flag as the waves pull me under,
I am only here for vengeance and self-deception.
