It was my life story I was listening to
I don't know about you

But I've buried family and a few good friends
I've held a brand new baby in my hands
It ain't just what I do, it's who I am
And that's why I write songs

I remember how it blew my mind
When I played a song and watched a grown man cry
It was at that moment when I just knew
What I was born to do

You know most songwriters they don't ever get any fame
Most people don't even recognize their names
But chances are, you probably sang along
