Colorado Bound (From "A Conversation with America")
Well my legs are weary
And my feet are feeling worn
Will these mountains shelter me
Till the break of dawn
Many conversations
Which now echo in mind
I'm turning to the starry skies
For answers I can't find
Does it matter if I'm lost
Never to be found?
I am headed to the frost
I'm Colorado bound
Through the miles I am dispersed
Atomised in time
I give myself into the mist
Beyond the border line
In the silence on I tread
Still I want to go
Ever deeper in the night
Where weeping willows glow
Does it matter if I'm lost
Never to be found?
I am headed to the frost
I'm Colorado bound
Well I think of Eden
Where so many miners searched
Some are stoking memories
Which should not be unearthed
Yet the streams are singing
And the mountains peaks are laced
With the snow which ever came
And better times embraced
Does it matter if I'm lost
Never to be found?
I am headed to the frost
I'm Colorado bound
Does it matter if I'm lost
Never to be found?
I am headed to the frost
I'm Colorado bound
