Hogtown Rag
Rising on the northern shoreline of the last Great Lake
Where that maple leaf rides high upon the flag
The locals learn to toss and turn in the humble beds they make
And that's how everybody starts doing the Hogtown Rag
Not so long ago this place was deadly dull and dry
But that whole denial thing was such a drag, drag, drag
But now the joint is jumpin' and there's a very good reason why
Everybody is doing the Hogtown Rag
Native sons and daughters on command will stand on guard
So courteous and cautious to a fault
And though the heart of Hogtown beats true blue it's really not so hard
To melt those long, cold winters with a grain or two of salt
Well, there ain't no place like home sweet home
And it makes this old heart glad
Whenever I hear em play that Hogtown Rag
Well I've been east on down the river
All the way out to The Rock
And I've gone west over the Prairies
Cross those Rocky mountaintops
Well, I've heard the international hit parade
And a few things weren't half bad
But there's absolutely nothing in the whole wide world
Like a good old Hogtown Rag
Well, seasons come and fashions go
But that can't make me sad
Cause I'm just sittin' here, doin' the Hogtown
Knocking a pint or two of the grog down
Blessing my soul with a good old Hogtown Rag
