The Invisible

I woke up this morning with the lights on again
Spread out on the floor, didn't even make it to bed
I'm running on empty, yeah I'm wearing thin
But I don't mind, this is the skin I'm in
But I don't mind, this is the skin I'm in

Fragments and tangents, this feeling is real
But all it really says is one thing
That I am here and at the same time I'm not
If I don't keep checking I just might diserp you

I creep so silently
Along the walls of the corridor
There is the corner up here
And I fear what's in plain view to see
I'll put my feet back on the ground
I think it's time that we came back down

We came back down
I sit on the floor, don't care to think or feel
There's only my shadow to look at
The silence is filled by the cry from the trees
It makes me feel all the more alone

Hold up just a minute, I say to the man
And stare at my arm like a statue
My watch is confusing and all that it says
Is soon we will be nothing but graveyard friends
