Song of opposites
Every day I learn and forget at the same time,
and live and die and take pleasure in anxiety,
likewise out of bad weather I make good,
and see without eyes and know less of knowledge,
and I hold nothing and embrace the entire world,
I fly above the heavens and don't move from earth,
and what flees from me I chase incessantly
and what follows and catches me flees from me.
I leave from no place and I never stop,
what I don't seek I quickly find,
who I don't trust is the one I'm very sure of,
and the low is high for me and the high seems near,
and I keep drawing near to what can't be found,
and I see the shaky cause as solid,
and the deep pool seems like water in a port to me,
and my virtue doesn't hold me up, but it helps.
Let each one take whatever suits him best
from what I've said, reversed verse of writing;
and if you look at it to the right and backwards,
you'll be able to take the good from the bad.
