Ten To Five
Like the broken sounds coming from your speakers, we swore we'd leave this place behind. I held my breath, hoping this would never end. I swear, we never burned so bright. Now I sit back, feeling old as we watch the rain fall. So many years, so many bridges burned. Wishing for an end, wishing for anything to save us from this place, to save me from myself.
So I'll throw back my head and listen to the rain that's falling on my face and I can wish away every wasted day. But some things will never change.
