Blind Man
There once was a blind man
Lived in the woods and slowly painfully oh he lost his mind
The man was quite stubborn
Didn't listen or learn as he prayed people leave him alone
Seated in his cabin
He wouldn't think
About the feeble or the meek
And he couldn't care less about what others said
Their words they just angered him because he knew they were dim
And everything that he had learned was always right because they were
Out of sight out of mind
And he knew everything would be fine if he
Never thought or even cared
About the world beyond his reach
Not about the cities and the towns or the oceans and the beach
He was blind to everything that lied outside of his boundaries
One day he came out and felt
The thing he ignored itself
A tragedy struck and he knew it was wrong
In that moment he could see the thing he ignored was the key
But nevertheless the next day was gone
People couldn't fathom
How that blind man
Could weep at things that he can't see
And he went back inside almost as to hide
Hide from everything that questioned his beliefs
Stay away from anything that caused him grief because they
Out of sight out of mind
And he knew everything would be fine if he
Never thought or even cared
About the world beyond his reach
Not about the cities and the towns or the oceans and the beach
He was blind to everything that lied outside of his boundaries
Out of sight out of mind
And he knew everything would be fine if he
Never thought or even cared
About the world beyond his reach
Not about the cities and the towns or the oceans and the beach
He was blind to everything that lied outside of his boundaries
