In between tides
The sweetest confusion
Is obscuring my mind
A string of illusions
That my eyes cant unwind
For out in the darkness where no man can see
Where days are as black as the nights
The cradle of change from where creatures of deep
Will be rising unnoticed
Moving in between tides
The wind dances gently
With seemingly effortless grace
Then rides the clouds in a frenzy
Wildly sweeping the waves
For out in the darkness where no one can see
Blind in the absence of lights
The cradle of change from where creatures of deep
Will be rising unnoticed
Moving in between tides
And the eagle flies
Roaming lonely skies
Looking down on the land that will never be its home
And the eagle flies
While it casts its eyes
Over shores and horizons and waters far beyond
But underneath these wings
I see the shape of things to come
We came from the waters, one day well return
Through lore, tradition and rites
Led by the currents and ruled by the moon
Rising unnoticed
Moving in between tides
