The Little Boy Found

The little boy, lost in the lonely fen
Led by the wand’ ring light,
Began to cry; but god, ever nigh

He kissed the child & by the hand led
And to his mother brought,
Who in sorrow pale, thro’ the lonely dale,
Her little boy weeping sought.

The little boy, lost in the lonely fen
Led by the wand’ring light,
Began to cry; but god, ever nigh

When the voices of children, are heard on the green
And laughing is heard on the hill,
My heart is at rest within my breast
And everything else is still.

Slow……………
The little boy, lost in the lonely fen
Led by the wand’ring light,
Began to cry; but god, ever nigh

Then come home, my children, the sun is gonne down
And the dews of night.
