About El Trono De Mexico
El Trono de Mexico is a regional Mexican group from the state of Mexico that specializes in duranguense music. Founded in 2004 in Santo Tomás de los Plátanos, Mexico, the group comprises Everardo Ávila Marcelino (lead vocals, musical director), Carlos Enrique Martínez Cruz (drums), Luis Alberto López Terán (percussion, tambura), Duani Ávila Marcelino (vocals, keyboards), Yovany Bautista Morales, and Odilón Ávila Marcelino. El Trono de Mexico began their recording career on the independent Skalona Records, releasing Soy Dos Veces Mexicano (2004), El Pesudo (2005), El Muchacho Alegre (2006), and Fuego Nuevo (2007). The latter two albums spawned some of the group's biggest hits, namely "No Te Apartes de Mí," "Ganas de Volver Amar," and "Se Fue." In the wake of these breakthrough hits, Universal Latino licensed the El Trono de Mexico back catalog, reissued El Muchacho Alegre and Fuego Nuevo in 2007, and subsequently released a best-of compilation, Las Famosas del Trono: Grandes Éxitos (2008). Meanwhile, El Trono de Mexico switched to DBC Entertainment and released Cruzando Fronteras (2008). In 2009, they signed to Fonovisia; the label released Hasta Mi Final later in the year.nn2010 was busy for the group. In addition to issuing a new studio album, Quiero Decirte Que Te Amo, two retrospective collections appeared in time for a massive North American tour, followed by the live En Vivo Desde Nueva York.nnEl Trono de Mexico took almost no time off and in March of 2011, they were back with the charting Sigo Estando Contigo. Though 2012's A Corazón Abierto didn't chart, 2013's Irremplazable did. In 2014, in time for their tenth anniversary, El Trono de Mexico issued the title track to Que Bonita Es La Vida as a pre-release single and it ran up the Latin airplay and Latin songs charts. It was followed by the second single, "Perdóname," upon the album's release in July. The rest of the material, along with strong production, made the album one of the band's most commercially and critically successful. ~ Jason Birchmeier
