About Los Herederos De Nuevo Leon
Specializing in norteño music, Los Herederos de Nuevo León are a regional Mexican group from Monterrey, Nuevo León. Comprised of Lalo Mora, Jr., Javier Rios, Jr., C. Eliud Lopez, Jr., and Homero de Leon, Jr., the quartet members are the children of Lalo Mora, Javier Ríos, Eliud López, and Homero de Leon of Los Invasores de Nuevo León, a legendary norteño band whose history dates back to the 1970s. Los Herederos -- literally "the heirs" -- made their full-length album debut with Normas a la Mitad (2004) on Serca Music. Subsequent albums released by the label include Que Te Quede Claro (2005), Los Herederos de Nuevo León en Vivo: Desde Zuazuz Arena (2007), and Llegando a Ti (2008), the latter of which spawned the hit single "Tres Vueltas." While the band's singles consistently charted, it wasn't until the 2009's En Manos del Tiempo, with its single "Palabra de Borracho," that they cracked the Mexican Regional Top 10. Followed by an extensive tour of Mexico and the United States, it set the stage for the album to dig deeper for singles -- "Quisiera" in 2010 and "El Que Se Va" the following year -- that also charted. When the group issued No Decidas por Mi in 2011, it surprised and delighted fans who had been waiting for new material. The album netted the title track as a hit single. While 2012's A Partir de Ahora the next year didn't climb as high, it still received ample radio play and landed inside the Top 20. A live album and a tenth anniversary collection followed. 2015 saw the release of Corridos de Caballos Pura Sangre, which landed inside the Top 20 of the Latin albums charts.nnIn January of the following year, Los Herederos de Nuevo León issued a collection of brand new material with Ayer Hoy y Siempre. ~ Jason Birchmeier
