About Sparks The Rescue
Originally known as Pozer, Sparks the Rescue garnered acclaim in the mid-aughts with their energetic, super-melodic brand of emo-ish punk-pop. The Portland, Maine-based quintet matched driving Blink 182-style guitar rock with the wailing, British-sounding vocals of lead singer Alex Roy to deliver a sound that is at once noisy and bubblegum sweet. Signed to Fearless Records in 2009, the group toured heavily, establishing themselves among fans of tuneful emo-core.
