About Unholy
Hardcore metal outfit Unholy (not to be confused with the Finnish metal band of the same name) is based in the upstate New York city of Syracuse and consists of vocalist Danny Johnson (who had also been part of such bands as Godbelow), guitarist Jonathan Dennison (also of such bands as Another Victim and Path of Resistance), guitarist Steve Caiello, bassist Rick Argiro, and drummer Joe Murphy (previously of Godbelow). Taking inspiration from metal greats Carcass, Entombed, Slayer, and Testament, the band issued an EP, Awaken the Sleep, followed by the full-length Blood of the Medusa in mid-2007. ~ Kenyon Hopkin
