Latin rock band from Argentina la Vanguardia was formed in 1996 by brothers Sebastián and Leonardo Pantano, they were soon joined by bassist Martín Castro, singer Daniel Aguilar, and keyboardist Daniel Repetto, playing under the name of Ajenjo. Later, Aguilar and Repetto were replaced by singer Daniel Elias and keyboardist Manuel Astorga and the band changed their name to la Vanguardia. On May 26th, 1999 a live performance was recorded and independently released, featuring the group's original song "Angelito."
