b. 1973, Ferrol, Galicia, Spain. Known as a performer and as a composer, Jean has been especially active in Spanish film and television studios. He has composed music heard on the soundtracks of films such as Asfalto (2000), Guerreros (2002) and Ausentes (2005). Individual songs have also been heard in films, including El Empujón, which was used in Torrente, El Brazo Tonto De La Ley (1998), Give Me The Seventies, heard in Lucía Y El Sexo (2001, UK title: Sex And Lucia) and La Fiesta (2003); in both films he also sang this song. Among the television programmes for which he has composed are Versión Española (1998), Maracaná 05 (2005) and Maracaná 06 (2006), writing the title song for the last named series, for both of which he also appeared on-screen singing the song. He also appeared as himself, singing in individual episodes of Loops!, Carta Blanca and Noche Hache (all 2006).nn Among other songs Jean has composed are Deja De Llorar, Mujer De Mil Caricias, Dejame Si Has Olvidado Que Te Quiero, Que Te Lleve El Diablo, En La Noche Mas Fria, Siempre Te Recordare and Mr Dabada. He is also noted for his lively melding of electronic music and contemporary hip-hop, and has been responsible for regenerating interest in recordings by artists such as Maria Sánchez.
