About Charlotte Cardin
Canadian vocalist Charlotte Cardin is a soulful, pop-oriented performer whose sound mixes singer/songwriter folk, jazz, electronica, and R&B. After competing on La Voix, she debuted with 2017's Juno Award-nominated Main Girl.
Born in Montreal in 1994 to a French-speaking family, Cardin studied medicine and worked as a model before launching her singing career. Initially, she came to the public's attention as a contestant on the vocal competition show La Voix in 2013. After finishing in the top four, she was featured on French singer Garou's track "Du Vent des Mots." Three years later, she delivered the EP Big Boy. In 2017, she released her full-length debut album, Main Girl, on Atlantic Records. The record earned Cardin Juno Award nominations for Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Songwriter of the Year for "Main Girl," "Paradise Motion," and "The Kids." She also picked up nominations in the French and English categories at the SOCAN songwriting Awards for her songs "Big Boy" and "Faufile." In 2019, she collaborated with producer CRi on a cover of Daniel Bélanger's "Fous N'importe Où." She also guested on Loud's track "Sometimes, All the Time." In September 2020, Cardin released the stand-alone track "Passive Aggressive." ~ Matt Collar
