A hard-hitting American nu-metal troupe based out of Tempe, Arizona, Ded was formed in 2016 out of the ashes of Southwest rockers the Cover-Up and Man Made Machine. Coming together shortly after the final Man Made Machine performance, the band featured the talents of vocalist Joe Cotela and percussionist Matthew Reinhard, alongside ex-Greeley Estates members David Ludlow (guitar) and Kyle Koelsch (bass). In December 2016, the newly minted quartet issued the single "FMFY," with a second single, "Anti-Everything," arriving later that May. Mis-An-Thrope, the band's debut long-player, was released two months later via Suretone Records. ~ James Christopher Monger
