An Indonesian pop singer, Mulan Jameela (aka Mulan Kwok) first got her start as part of the popular duo Ratu, alongside Maia Ahmad in 2005. After a couple of successful years together, internal tensions tore the duo apart, and Jameela ventured into a solo career. Changing management, Jameela landed a deal with EMI, and released her debut self-titled full-length in 2007.
