Captivated by sports, astronomy, and popular music, Francisco Gabilondo Soler debuted professionally on October 15, 1934, while singing in a popular radio show and after introducing himself as Cri-Cri. Even when he started composing traditional music earlier, children's folk became his passion. On July 30, 1961, his radio show called El Grillito Cantor was broadcast for the last time.
