Seed

Whispers of a day gone by… Hoping for a day brand new…Aching to breathe the ice-like delicate air. Holding in the disappointment… Acting like you please me still… Hoping that the ruse will lead you home. Why should I have to show you who I am? Every seed holds its secrets under land. Only time makes the flower appear.
Do you believe in sunlight here? Underneath your colorless sky, every kind word has a plastic veneer. Am I tasting honesty or my own bitter fear? Pearls promised yesterday… Must I earn them today? Toss and turn. I wake and yearn for peace. Why should I have to show you who I am? Every seed holds its secrets under land.
Only time makes the flower appear. Only when there is water near.
I still believe in sunlight; still believe that you're right.
I still believe that you're right here. Not your simple reverie… thinking of the euphoric life I believe could already be, if you were next to me. Shaken by the words you write. Subtle as an alibi.
Why should I believe you? Should I? Should I? If you could feel it'd be surreal.
Why should I have to show you who I am? Every seed holds its secrets under land. Only time makes the flower appear. Only when there is water near.
I still believe in sunlight; still believe that you're right. I still believe that you're right here. I still believe. Believe. I still believe that you're right here
