For a time I dreamt of a home
To be built by all of us
I even laid this new foundation
I thought a dream could be shared

But the night saw it crumble
And, I'm not my brothers' anvil
I can stomach the poison administered
It will wear off, along with this dry spell

Set it all afire
Under this lonely moon
I won't even try to sleep tonight

Set it afire
To acquiesce the night

Set it afire
And watch the flames

Pull these roots out of my throat
I can scale this summit alone
Though the summer sun looms like a hammer
I won't fault it for beating me down

Return to life
On this barren soil
I will work until my hands become stone

Return to life
Without provision

Return to life
When the river flows
