Before We Fly

I never thought I would feel
Like 45 dollars was so unreal
But I got another ticket
I'm swearing and kicking around

He said 160 dollars
Gave me 40 short
I never called him out
But it kinda hurt
So I write another story to wrap it around my head

Sometimes you have to crawl to get on by
And sometimes we have to fall before we fly

I always seem to question
Whether He's real
When I stick my nose
Up to the window seal
I'm searching for heaven
Some angels, the devil, whatever

Cause one day he might need me
To play left field
This was never my plan
But I'm so thrilled
With my name up in lights
I'm struggling to hold back the tears

Sometimes you have to crawl to get on by
And sometimes you have to fall before we fly

I've been fallin from trees
To get her fall in to me
She's the prettiest thing I've ever seen

Sometimes you have to crawl to get on by
And sometimes you have to fall before we fly
Sometimes you have to crawl to get on by
And sometimes we have to fall before we fly
