Castles in the Quicksand
The more I speak, the more I feel that I am faking
Cause I can't find the core in anything I'm saying
And I can't hear myself there's all this noise I'm making
So I keep quiet cause there's less that I can break then
A 1000 choices at the fingertips are numbing
Course choosing one feels like a 1000 doors are shutting
And I've been moving in a number of directions
Scared what i find, if i start looking at the senter
Oh i've been stuck, I've built my castles in the quicksand
Now I watch my kingdom disappear
And i've been stuck but i've found diamonds at the deepest end
And i can feel the bottom here
I've seen a part of me, a darkness I am dreading
A fear of who I might become, if I just let it
And I've been running from it ever since I saw it
I needed help to understand that i could face it.
Oh i've been stuck, I've built my castles in the quicksand
Now I watch my kingdom disappear
And i've been stuck but i've found diamonds at the deepest end
And i can feel the bottom here
Feels like I'm written into the story I've been reading
Where all my pain transforme from emptiness to meaning
And I can slowly see a turning point emerging
And I can feel the bottom here.
