Digital Dream
In a post-apocalyptic world in 2068
I sit and watch the scenery
Who do I choose, who’s on my team, who will taste my golden cream Or do I even need a connection
In a sea of a million wonders where nobody has the will to lie I surrender in a sigh
They wiped out my identity, there is no freedom to fight for It’s a given now
We never live, we never die, there is no why
We’re ones and zeros, there’s no heroes, not a crime
My brain is now a machine that has no singularity
The dust has settled, I haven’t
And years after the kryptonite our fingers touch and do not type My eyes are no more corrupted
I linger, oh I love it here
I dreamt about it my whole life This is my legacy in case I die
I’d like to think there is somebody by my side Not just a robot, a computer, or a wire
And it’s so lonely here, so lonely I could scream It’s cold and dark in here, if only I could swim
Lost in a digital dream, am I real Lost in a digital dream, am I real Lost in a digital dream, am I real Lost in a digital dream, am I real
