Getting on With My Life
What did you think would happen?
What did you think I'd do?
How many times did you think I'd make allowances for you?
What makes you think it's ok, do do the things you did
And then have the gall to think that I should just get over it?
Well you couldn't get more wrong
So now I'm doing what is right
And I'm not going back this time
I'm not gonna break down, not gonna cry
And I know I'll be alright cos I
I'm gettin' on with my life
I cleaned out all the cupboards
Of all this shit you didn't pack
I left it on the front porch for the next time you come back
And I'm not even angry or just a little sad
Cos it's not me who's losing the best thing I ever had
I'll be sleeping well tonight
Cos now I'm doing what is right
And I'm not going back this time
I'm not gonna break down, not gonna cry
And I know I'll be alright cos I
I'm gettin' on with my life
And you wanna talk things over
But there's nothing more to say
You underestimated me to think that I would stay
I gotta do what's right for me
So now I'm doing what is right
And I'm not going back this time
I'm not gonna break down, not gonna cry
And I know I'll be alright cos I
I'm gettin' on with my life
