Joy and Sadness
When your joy is filled with sadness
And your sadness is filled with joy
Without joy there's only sadness
And without sadness there is no joy
When the days are filled with sadness
Only the nights are filled with joy
But you think and you look and you wait for where to go
Only your soul tells you to find your peace at home
If your joy is filled with numbness
And your hard-hearted sadness is just a ploy
Then fill your head with silly little pretty little pleasures
Never look back at where you've been before
You get what you give and you give what you get
If you hear these words then the lesson you'll learn
Will be worth the sadness that you've come to endure
Then the sadness will go and the joy will flow
Today will be now and tomorrow will bring pure joy...
