Language of Love
Holding on to an instinct that we know we'll never prove
Holding on cos we didn't get to choose
Believing in a language we couldn't teach it even if we knew
U can hear it in everything u do
Everybody talks but nobody speaks it
Everybody thinks but nobody dreams it
Everybody knows that its Her their needing of
And it aint an easy answer to consider or concede
But theres nothing to plant if you deny the seed
And when all holiness is traded for the darkening of night
Only the poet can recover the light
Everybody talks but nobody speaks it
Everybody thinks but nobody dreams it
Everybody knows that its Her their needing of
Language of love
And its a dangerous obsession for the few who disregard
Every potential to come to harm
With the intention to restore some integrity of form
To something broken way before they were born
Everybody talks but nobody speaks it
Everybody thinks but nobody dreams it
Everybody knows that its Her their needing of
Everybody lives but nobody admits it
Everybody wants but nobody gives it
Everybody knows that its Her they're the child of
Language of love
