Music and lyrics by Benedicte Torget
I am far away from home
with my friend
we are in the old town
and there's a deep sigh
moving through the crowd
the market streets are filled
with sounds of history
of mystery and pain
suddenly a merchant stands in front of me
I ask to buy tea leaves from his mat
and just behind the leaves brought from
wastelands and deserts
appears a sharp and bright horizon
in the deep green of his gaze
I am standing in front of you
there's a humming
in the crowd
the dear town
is draped in dreams
and prophecies
in ecstasies and hope
you are standing in front of me
our eyes are burning
with the Middle East sun
and in our longing
for devotion
we find the horizon
we saw in the
traveller´s eyes
wanderers
we are wanderers
on a roam through
hearts and bones
wanderers
we are wanderers
linked like melismas
in a song
