Longing for Death

Print songSend correction to the songSend new songfacebooktwitterwhatsapp

To sleep when a storm looms.
To live with the open wound.
To wake as remorse stings.
I can feel it coming.

There is an obscure glow
that splits my soul in two.
One side's an animal,
one wants to be like you.

I am a nightcrawler
yearning for routine.
I call myself a loner
while seeking company.

I switch from side to side in phases.
Never knew how fast their pace is.

A fine line inside of me
parting lust and bourgeoisie.
Torn between a pleasured me
and modern slavery.

I switch from side to side in phases.
It ́s tearing me apart.

Can you feel the tension?
Can you feel the tension?
How the animals' side is
baring its teeth through mine?

Can you feel the tension?
Can you feel the tension?
Your shelter unravels its
prisons paradigm.

When I get too attached to
one way of counting time
the sides collide like storms
turning life to grime.

Unnoticed gusts evolving
into pain bearing winds.
Blowing through my memories
conjuringmy oldest demons.

Storms from the past have arrived in my head.
In their eyes it's silent. Into darkness I'll tread.
Longing for death now.
I can feel it coming.
