Doctor said the boy
Will never speak
Nor play hide-and-go-seek
He will never swim in a creek
Just another (missing piece)
(I said" Just stand back)
Watch what GOD can do
Miracles happen everyday
All you got to do is pray
Autism sat in hard and heavy
Scoliosis took over his back
I say that same prayer
Night after Night
Now a lay him down to sleep
I pray to the lord
My son can speak
And make his strong
Where he is weak
As he sleep doctors cut him
From his head to toe
Placed steel rods in his
Back to help him grow
NATE came too
I heard him say
I found my
New best friend today
Giving his life to the lord
On his 13 birthday
Now at 16 Vice President ,
Of his freshman class
GPA of 4.0
Never missed a day of school
That ain't bad for a (missing piece)
Been a long hard road
Took a long hard look
In the mirror this morning
Lines on my face tell the story
But they won't erase
A road map to where I been
Night after Night
I thank you lord
My son can speak
Watching him grow up been
