Origami Tigers
I'm so damn bored with
This back and forth exchanging of our
Righteous point of view
We never waiver
Despite the lack of proof
We hold opinions like the truth
They stay
In the forest laughing
That we won't stray
While our tongues are lashing
You took everything everyone knows
And rolled it up your sleeve
Deception was your goal
And boy, did you succeed
But origami tigers
Can't survive the rain
And toss them in the fire
Their fate remains the same
Putting on these
Faces of belief
We clothe ourselves
In our deceit
Learning lines and
Reciting lies To keep
Each other
Firmly in our seats
They stay
In the forest laughing
That we won't stray
While our tongues are lashing
You took everything everyone knows
And rolled it up your sleeve
Deception was your goal
And boy, did you succeed
But origami tigers
Can't survive the rain
And toss them in the fire
Their fate remains the same
Gather at night
By the sacred owl
With its face
Adorned in darkness
Bow to themselves
And the wealth they serve
Aren't we all
Just starving artists
Origami tigers
