Parachutes

There's something in the water here
Something addictive in this fountain feeding me
Cause every day we chase these waves
These are the danger days remaining unforgiving

Mirror, mirror
Are you ever clearer?
Nothing seems to change
We're searching for a potion
One drop in the ocean
It's the only way
Will this river run my way?

We're jumping in parachutes
Chasing the rainy days
Throwing ourselves down mountains
Running up these endless alleyways
Swimming in fields of clay
Hovering over hills
Flying so high
And we're colouring the skies
In the parachutes we sail

And still we're sinking in these clouds
Bring out the parachutes
Let's paint a coloured sky now

Running backwards
Up the hills that thrill us
Sacrifice each day
We're crossing over oceans
With our four leaf clovers
Living danger days
Tell the anchorman to sail

We're jumping in parachutes
Chasing the rainy days
Throwing ourselves down mountains
Running up these endless alleyways
Swimming in fields of clay
Hovering over hills
Flying so high
And we're colouring the skies
In the parachutes we sail

So another empty day
Feel like a stranger in my own life screenplay
And as the chapters race away
Still how I strive to find the silver lining
To paint these skies from grey

We're jumping in parachutes
Chasing the rainy days
Throwing ourselves down mountains
Running up these endless alleyways
Swimming in fields of clay
Hovering over hills
Flying so high
And we're colouring the skies
In the parachutes we sail
