Petals
Cocoons
Litter the streets
Reverberating viridian
Newly blossomed flowers
Begin the sway in the breeze
Fluorescent petals are floating
Landing on everything
Spots of light shimmering
Small trees
Shoot up from grass
Tasting the new air
Their oxygen flows
And intoxicates me
Fluorescent petals are floating
Landing on everything
Spots of light shimmering
The metal and glass
Turns to stone
And the chrysalii
Are folding back
And opening
