Why tell the truth to someone who will just ignore it?
Why imagine heaven if I'm happy now?
Why should I be worried about what I can't change?
Will I find the answers and the truth somehow?
Why does society succumb to their inaction?
Why do I believe that I can change the world?
Why do I feel powerless when nothing's wrong?
Is it safe to say that I'm too overwhelmed?
Sing a song and feel the rhythm roam
Realize what truth and meaning means to me
Dance around and meditate a while
These are things that make me smile
I won't keep up with The Joneses just to feel acknowledged
I want to be free of debt and all the plastic garbage
If I could choose I would live in a tree house
And maybe I'll disappear and go powerless
Why do I sit here in the woods and listen closely
Should I rather be back home and help the poor?
Do I do enough to lessen CO2?
I am doing what I can that is for sure
