At darkest times that mankind faced, a kingdom to the east
Saw conflict over holy treasures, incited by the priests
Depictions of eternal life, of honor, gold and fame
Brought countless to the ancient grounds, to boldly make their claim
Crusaders under foreign skies are conquering the lands
Yet in the end they all face death in endless fields of sand
So one on one their cities fall, knights buried in the dust
