Story Like Yours

Home seems not a place for me to spend my time anymore,
I'm sorry honey that you had to see me running for that door.
I just keep on running to a place where I think my life reloads,
I got to stop running though, cause my calves are about to explode.

I know it's not your plan but this page has to turn again,
I know it makes you sad but I hope somehow you'll understand,
that the story of my life is what my heart whispers in my ear,
and if I would change it we would live in a lie my dear.

Cause our books have the same number of pages,
but chapters are a different case.
Yours ramble on for ages while mine only last a couple of days,
but I know there is a story like yours,
coming your way.

I just always have to look outside the cage, where the birds are the same,
only free to fly away, play their own and not some humans game.
We are like a branch that grows on a big old tree,
needed each other to grow up but have to become our own leaves.

Cause our books have the same number of pages,
but chapters are a different case.
Yours ramble on for ages while mine only last a couple of days,
but I know there is a story like yours, yes I know there is a story like yours,
yes I know there is a story like yours,
coming your way.
