T.U.I. (Texting Under The Influence) [Radio Version]

I had a bad day down at the factory, and needed to unwind
So on the way back home I found a honky tonk, down by the county line
So I stopped in and couldn't help but grin, when I saw some old buddies of mine
They said come on over and sit for a while so we can catch up on lost time

I didn't plan to stay that long, I just stopped in for a few
Then we started reminiscing 'bout the women we were missing, and uh
Well it was quiet a few
It didn't take long to pull out my phone and start looking at plans for the night
But I should have known, I'd better leave it alone
'Cause I was working towards a T.U.I.

Texting under the influence, I did it again
I never would have hit the send button if it weren't for Jack and Jim
Now I've got some explaining to do, and I don't know where to begin
Texting under the influence, I did it again

I woke up the next morning, and picked up my phone
I had a lot more than a hangover, something surely had to be wrong
I had a lot of nasty messages from the women of my past
Said, "you can burn in hell, please delete my number,"
And one said you can kiss my, . . well

Texting under the influence, I did it again
I never would have hit the send button if it weren't for Jack and Jim
Now I've got some explaining to do, and I don't know where to begin
Texting under the influence, I did it again

Texting under the influence, I did it again
