The Garden
A sorry son awoke to find a burning heart
In the back of a garden
under cover of dark
to shine upon a higher time, fore things fall apart
And I beg for your pardon
And I long for your heart
Oh the joy of summer it began to die
and the plan was simple, but it fell awry
til we lost our way on that foggy night
and the world was watching as we said goodbye
A sorry son awoke to see a light in your eye
And a thread was unravelled
And a knot was untied
to shine upon a higher time, fore things fall apart
When there's further to travel
When I long for your heart
Oh the joy of summer it began to die
and the plan was simple, but it fell awry
til we lost our way on that foggy night
and the world was watching as we said goodbye
All the signs were saying you, but where I couldn't care to find
And the darkness came anew to see another fall behind
Until all that I could see beyond that puzzled frown
Was the back of a garden where a love was unbound
