The Raven Waits
Like a scene from a horror show,
there's a raven tapping at you window
Rain is falling flooding in the hedgerow,
your mind is screaming flapping
like its wings now
Is this an omen something that you don't know,
or is it time to reap the seeds you sow
What you see is what you get
You aint seen nothing yet
When you were a child you played with time,
and everything you did was fine
The light would shine out of your eyes
The monsters turned into butterflies,
in your mind
What you see is what you get
You aint seen nothing yet
But oh, time is much older now
and the dreams what do they mean
What you see is what you get
You aint seen nothing yet
And so is this goodbye now
To the friends that you've known
and the toys that you've owned
In your life
As the raven waits on the pearly gates
and the soul inside hesitates
What you see is what you get
You aint seen nothing yet
What you see is what you get
You aint seen nothing yet
What you see is what you get
You aint seen nothing yet
