The Stream

Swimming in a stream of pain
I swim to you my love
Fighting with your floods
The floods you sent to me to drown

You sent me a storm
Of deepest scorn
Your thunders of rage
Still are awake

And I built a ship
Of pathetic hope
Still I feel weak
And so alone

The winds of
Your ignorance
Tore my sails
And drove me astray

As everything fades to black
Cold memories are rolling through my mind

As I watch you sleeping
Like an angel in her beauty
All my sadness melts away
And calmness is what I bask in

But as I watch you wake
Like a flower rising from snow in the spring
My soul is bleeding, 'cause I know you won't see me
Your face haunts me everywhere, every time
I can't stand so much pain, not anymore
Now, falling down, reaching the bottom
Pressure tearing me apart
The water swallows me entirely
Life seems now so far

As I reach on the shores of isolation
The sun mourns my loss
No more struggling
No more despair

Life, forget me, you have killed me
Sanity has fled away
And a smile crawled on my face
As I know I'm dead
